Asia Pacific is the largest region in the world for the consumption of juice. However, it is anticipated that category development is likely to remain uneven over the next few years. The growth in purchasing power, development of the retail segment and population increases will drive demand. Evolving consumer attitudes to health and wellness, especially in China, are capping demand for juice drinks with low fruit content. At Emeterra, we look beyond the big traditional juices such as orange and apple, to healthier, nutritious juices with strong functional benefits. Tropical juices, especially some of the more exotic variants, provide significant functional value and unique taste that set these aside from the pack. This is our area of focus.
